Mark Davies and Callum Thorp should continue in the absence of Graham Onions (heel) and Liam Plunkett (side).
Hampshire have replaced batsman Jimmy Adams, who has averaged just 18 from eight first-class innings this season, with all-rounder Sean Ervine.
Wicket-keeper Nic Pothas returns for Tom Burrows after a month on the sidelines with a calf injury.
Hampshire: Carberry, Brown, Ervine, Crawley, Lumb, Lamb, Mascarenhas, Pothas, Tremlett, Bond, Tomlinson.
Hampshire manager Paul Terry explained his changes to BBC Radio Solent:
"Our batting is not working collectively, a change was right.
"Jimmy's not quite in the best of form at the moment. Sean however has been hitting the ball well, so we felt it was the right time to do that one.
"Nic's a key player for us. The balance of the side is different when he plays. He adds a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge to our team."
