Carberry was once again in top form as he hit a fluent 57 off 42 deliveries.
Hampshire's total always looked too much for the visitors and Kent's cause was not helped when Robert Key fell for just seven with nine runs on the board.
Opener Joe Denly (63) hit his third straight half-century, but it wasn't enough as Kent fell 44 runs short.
Hampshire, buoyed by their dramatic win over Sussex the previous evening, began purposefully and the opening partnership of Ian Harvey and Michael Lumb scored at more than 10 an over before Harvey fell for 22 and Lumb 57.
Carberry continued the assault before he was bowled by Yassir Arafat (4-38), but Michael Brown kept Hampshire's total ticking along as he ended unbeaten on 40.
Only Denly offered any kind of resistance to Hampshire's bowling attack, but once he was dismissed Kent were left needing 18 an over.
Azhar Mahmood (10) became the last Kent wicket to fall as they finished their 20 overs on 153-7.
