Australian fast bowler Ryan Harris insists he still wants to play for Sussex after he was withdrawn from the squad to face Hampshire late on.

The 28-year-old, who has a UK passport, is in talks with Queensland Bulls.

He told the Argus: "I haven't signed a contract with Queensland yet - we are still trying to work something out so I can play for Sussex."

But Bulls insist they have not signed him as an overseas player, which is the only way he could play for Sussex.

Sussex chief executive Gus Mackay told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "We are currently working with the relevant authorities and their lawyers in the hope of resolving the situation".
