Hildreth signs new Somerset deal

Somerset batsmen James Hildreth has signed a new deal which will keep him at the County Ground until 2011.

Hildreth told the club's website: "I am delighted to have signed a new contract, I love it here and I am always going to play here."

The 23-year-old's contract was due to expire at the of September.

The right hander enjoyed his most successful season for the county in 2007 when he scored 1147 Championship runs at an average of 52.14.

Hildreth was in the England Lions team that took part in the Duleep Trophy in India in February.
