An unbeaten 68 from South African Justin Kemp led Kent to a four-wicket win off the penultimate ball at Sussex.

After being put in, the Sussex innings lacked a major knock, Luke Wright with 35 from 62 balls and Michael Yardy with a calm 50 helping them to 245-6.

Martin van Jaarsveld added 93 in 18 overs with Joe Denly and Kemp hit five fours and a six in a 79-ball knock.

In steady rain 26 were needed from the final two overs, but 18 came off the penultimate over bowled by Wright.
